Altimate Medical, Inc., a manufacturer of medical positioning equipment to support therapy for adults and children with disabilities, has acquired Medical Positioning, Inc. (MPI), a market leader in the design and manufacture of diagnostic imaging surfaces. 

Founded in 1988, MPI is a market leader in the design and manufacture of premium, high-quality diagnostic imaging surfaces for the cardiology, general ultrasound and women’s healthcare segments. “We are excited to welcome MPI’s management and employees to the Altimate team,” said Todd Tholkes, Chief Executive Officer of Altimate.  “MPI has an outstanding brand reputation for products that deliver superior ergonomics and more efficient patient positioning, and joining forces enables both businesses to leverage our shared expertise to deliver a broader range of medical positioning equipment to customers worldwide.” MPI will continue to operate from its Kansas City, KS facility.
