Kristen Cezat is a Board-Certified Specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy and a RESNA-certified ATP/SMS. She received her DPT from the University of Central Florida in 2011. She has dedicated her career to rehabilitation and improving lives for adults with spinal cord injury (SCI) and other neurologic conditions. She received the APTA SCI Special Interest Group (SIG) award for Clinical Excellence in SCI Care and has served on APTA ANPT SCI special interest group leadership 2021-2024.
Kristen is the Clinical Education Specialist for Altimate Medical Inc. She has presented locally and nationally on various topics related to assistive technology prescription and interventions and current evidence in spinal cord injury rehabilitation, emphasizing translation into clinical practice.

Course Description
Standing and walking is a priority for many individuals following spinal cord injury. However, access to assistive technology to achieve these goals outside rehabilitation clinics is often limited. This course will discuss evidence related to supported standing devices and personal robotic devices after spinal cord injury. We will discuss available technologies to achieve supported standing and walking in an individual’s home environment, different devices roles for these individuals with spinal cord injuries, and the steps required to pursue access to devices for home use.
Course Length: 1 hour, valued at 0.1 CEUs for 1 hour of instruction.
